PROVO, Utah-Friday, during the first day of the BYU Multi-Steeple Events at Robison Track, numerous Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network schools and athletes excelled.
In the girls’ 1-A/3-A 2000-meter steeplechase, Milford’s Kinley Spauding took the crown in 8:14.42.
In the boys’ 1-A/3-A 2000-meter steeplechase for the boys, Millard’s Jaren Camp placed third (6:51.18) and Beaver’s Spencer Williams finished sixth (6:58.92).
Presently, in the boys’ decathlon, Delta’s Trey Brough leads the way with 2404 points and his teammate, Jamison Bishop, is second with 2037 points.
In the girls’ heptathlon, Kanab’s Brinley Unsworth leads the way with 1692 points and Manti’s Breana Barson is second with 1535 points.
The meet resumes Saturday.
