The 2018 Tour of Utah bicycle race will be passing through Salt Creek Canyon in Central Utah on Wednesday, August 8 as the riders prepare to challenge Mt. Nebo during the final stage of the days race. Stage 2 of the Tour of Utah is scheduled to begin in Payson on Wednesday morning at approximately 11:30 a.m., and riders will head up SR-132 beginning at approximately 1:15 p.m. The race will travel east on the highway to the Nebo Loop Road, and during that time traffic will be restricted until all the riders have passed. Additionally, those travelling north on Nebo Loop Road will not be allowed to pass the racers. And those heading south on Nebo Loop Road can expect delays of 30-45 minutes as the race approaches and passes. The race is scheduled to finish in Payson sometime between 3 and 3:30 p.m. The Utah Highway Patrol will be controlling traffic along the route, and drivers are asked to be patient as the race approaches and passes.
