Marysvale Placed In Ready Status and Power Shut Off In Piute County

Due to the Cottonwood Fire, power has been shut off in Piute County and Maysvale is now in ready status. In a post to the Piute County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page they asked residents to “stay alert and watch news and cell alerts. Pack an emergency kit, ready your household, pets and vehicle, and prepare to leave. Leave early if you need extra time.” In another post they shared, “due to the active wildfire in Piute County, Rocky Mountain Power has de-energized power lines. At this time, we don’t have a time frame of how long the power will be off. Please be prepared for a prolonged outage.”
