GOEO Board Approves Incentives for IRRX and MCM Engineering II, Inc

Yesterday the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity board approved tax incentives for two companies, Integrated Rail and Resources, Inc. and MCM Engineering II, to support job creation and business investment in Iron and Uintah counties. According to a press release from the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity, “together, the projects are expected to create 290 high-paying jobs and generate almost $255.5 million in new investment over the next 10 years. These incentives are offered through the state’s Rural Economic Development Tax Increment Financing program, which provides performance-based tax credits issued after recipient companies meet job creation and investment goals.” Jefferson Moss, executive director of GOEO stated, “these investments in Iron and Uintah counties demonstrate how the REDTIF program cultivates long-term stability by supporting industries that build and power our state. By strengthening our infrastructure and manufacturing cores, we are creating high-quality jobs and ensuring shared prosperity for Utahns today and for generations to come.”
