Eric Kjar Named New Head Coach For Weber State Football

OGDEN, Utah-Tuesday, following a national search, Weber State named former Corner Canyon High School head coach Eric Kjar as the new head coach of the Wildcats program, per a statement from Director of Athletics Tim Crompton.

Kjar has coached the Chargers for the last nine seasons, posting a record of 112-10 (.918) at the helm of the program and leading the school to six state championships.

Kjar has also spent eight years as the head coach at Jordan, leading the Beetdiggers to a 69-29 (.705) record and a state championship in 2012.

The 46-year-old Kjar is a native of Kemmerer, Wyo. and played collegiately at NCAA Division II Wayne State (Neb.),  graduating in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in education.
