(Salt Lake City, UT) — Ben McAdams is seeking to once again represent Utah as a Democrat in the House of Representatives. He announced his latest campaign yesterday, after a Utah judge redrew congressional maps to add a Democratic-leaning district. Republicans in the state legislature had previously drawn a map that was designed to keep all of the congressional seats in GOP hands. The judge ruled it was illegal. McAdams is running for a seat based in Salt Lake City and he says he’s focusing on affordability. McAdams won a seat in Congress in 2018. He was defeated in 2020 by GOP Congressman Burgess Owens.
