Utah Football’s Spencer Fano Receives Recognition Tuesday

HOUSTON-Tuesday, Utah junior offensive lineman Spencer Fano was named a semifinalist for the Lombardi Award per an announcement for the Lombardi Award Committee.

This award is named in honor of legendary NFL head coach Vince Lombardi and is presented to an outstanding lineman or linebacker who best epitomizes values of leadership, courage, performance and discipline on and off the field.

Fano, a former Timpview High School star out of Spanish Fork, Utah, is one of 13 semifinalists for the award and one of three offensive linemen throughout college football.

Fano has started all nine games this season at right tackle for the Utes while his contributions have been integral in their 7-2 start.

Fano and his Utah teammates return to action November 15 at Baylor as the Big 12 season ensues for both teams.
