SEVIER COUNTY, Utah-Per the official Twitter of UDOT Traffic, a serious accident has occurred this afternoon on eastbound Interstate 70 west of Richfield.

UDOT confirms the incident occurred at 3:25 pm MDT at milepost 19 two miles east of Fremont State Park and clearance time is not anticipated until 5:18 pm, authorities confirmed.

Therefore, if you have to get to the Richfield/Salina area from Interstate 15, it is better to take northbound I-15 to Scipio and then follow U.S. 50 into Sevier County.

If in the area, listen carefully to all instructions authorities may give you as the area is full of construction work along Interstate 70 at various locations.
