JUNCTION, Utah-Nash Fautin and Crew Montague drove in two runs apiece and the Piute Thunderbirds blanked  Green River 10-0 Wednesday in 1A South baseball play. Blake Dalton netted six strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Piute.

PANGUITCH, Utah-Taycen Ramsay drove in four runs and the Panguitch Bobcats blanked Pinnacle 15-0 in 1A South baseball play Wednesday. Traiger Ramsay posted seven strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bobcats.

ORDERVILLE, Utah-Holden Harris drove in three runs and the Valley Buffalos pounded Wayne 11-1 Wednesday in 1A South baseball play. Harris netted four strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Valley. EJ Pauu drove in a run in the loss for the Badgers.

Volleyball

Region 20

BICKNELL, Utah-Chloe Stewart netted 11 kills and the Wayne Badgers blanked Water Canyon 3-0 in Region 20 volleyball play Wednesday. The Badgers downed the Wildcats 25-17, 25-22, 25-19 to prevail in straight sets.

ESCALANTE, Utah-Rylee Frei’s 5 kills led the way and the Escalante Moquis swept Bryce Valley 3-0 Wednesday in Region 20 volleyball play. The Moquis prevailed 25-11, 25-14, 25-15 to sweep the Mustangs in straight sets.
