The Monroe Canyon Fire in Sever County Continues to burn. As of this morning, the fire is listed at 64,957 acres and is 15 percent contained. There are currently 1,366 personnel assigned to fight the fire and the cause is still under investigation. A red Flag warning continues through tomorrow, with high temperatures and strong winds up to 35 miles per hour. Thunderstorms expected later in the week are not forecast to bring moisture. Evacuation orders for Burrville and Paiute Reservation RV Park have been lifted, but crews remain to mop up and protect unburned areas, using heavy retardant drops in recent days.
