(Springdale, UT) — Zion National Park visitors are being warned against swimming in the Virgin River. The park recently issued an advisory against swimming due to possible toxins in the water from algal blooms. The areas include Emerald Pools, the Subway, and the Narrows. One of the toxins mentioned in the advisory can be harmful if ingested, and visitors are also reminded not to drink from water sources in the park.
