(Syracuse, UT) — The President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints plans to attend a temple dedication this weekend, but his prayer will be pre-recorded. The dedication is set for Sunday at the Syracuse Temple, about 30 miles north of Salt Lake City. Church officials confirmed the 100-year-old president will pre-record his dedicatory prayer, as he did at two temple dedications in 2024. Nelson will be accompanied by apostle Quentin L. Cook, according to an LDS Church news release.
