A 19-year-old was arrested Monday after leading officers on a high speed chase through Millard and Iron counties. According to the affidavit of probable cause, a Millard County sheriff’s deputy saw a car on I-15 matching the description of a car previously reported to have been speeding. When the officer tried to pull the vehicle over it sped up and according to the deputy, “was leaving me behind as I traveled at 130 mph.” According to the affidavit, as the chase continued “pieces of the fender and pieces of tire were flying form the car, it also appeared to be smoking heavily.” The chase was ended when the deputy was able to use a pit maneuver on the vehicle. The driver Adrian Alexander Boa was arrested on suspicion of failure to respond to an officer’s signal to stop, reckless driving, multiple counts of reckless endangerment and other misdemeanors and traffic infractions.
