SALT LAKE CITY-Former Salt Lake C.C. softball star Ashlee Snyder, arguably the greatest player in Bruins history, has signed with the Sun Belt Conference’s Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns, the SLCC athletic department reports.
Snyder, the Region 18 player of the year, hit .531 in 2018 while starting all 55 games on the season for the Bruins after being named as an NJCAA-Preseason All-American.
The Lakewood, Calif. native amassed 34 home runs and 151 RBI this season, each of which are program records for the Bruins.
Snyder should complement a stellar Ragin Cajuns’ program which went 41-16 this past season and earned an at-large berth to the NCAA Softball Tournament.
Their season ended May 20 after taking favorite LSU to the brink at Baton Rouge in the first round of the tournament.
