Utah AG’s Office Investigating Complaint Over PAC Funding

(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Utah Attorney General’s office may begin investigating complaints against a political action committee that attacked Democratic candidates. Lieutenant Governor Deidre Henderson’s office told the Salt Lake Tribune it passed on complaints alleging the Preserving Utah Values PAC may have violated campaign finance law. The PAC reportedly submitted a pre-election report claiming it had raised zero dollars and spent zero dollars in the leadup to the general election. This was at the same time the PAC allegedly sent texts and mailers attacking Democratic candidates over their stances on LGBTQ issues.
