Two Charged in Theft at Canyonlands National Park

(Canyonlands National Park, UT) — Two people from Durango, Colorado, face charges for alleged trespassing and artifact theft at Canyonlands National Park’s Cave Spring Cowboy Camp. Authorities say 39-year-old Roxanne McKnight and 43-year-old Dusty Spencer entered a fenced-off area in March and took historic artifacts despite clear signage prohibiting entry. Charges include theft of government property and illegal handling of cultural resources. Their court appearance is set for Friday in Moab.
