A 19 year old man has been arrested and charged after asking to use a neighbors bathroom, but instead wandering in to the bedroom of a young girl and attempting to sexually assault her. Javier Abraham Rasco Estrada was booked into the Sanpete County Jail on Sunday after, according to a police booking affidavit, “he entered a child’s bedroom and laid in bed with a female child. He was lying next to her hugging her and touching her face; he was also talking to her asking her sexual questions. When the child woke up and realized what was going on, she pushed him away and ran out of the room.” Estrada was located by police a short distance away and he admitted to drinking the previous night and morning, as well as using drugs, according to the affidavit. Policed say Estrada has only lived in Utah for about a month. He was charged on Tuesday in 6th District Court with attempted rape of a child and burglary, second-degree felonies; and drug possession, a class A misdemeanor.
