Utah Men’s Basketball’s Branden Carlson Named Top 10 Finalist For Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.-Friday, University of Utah senior power forward Branden Carlson was named as one of the 10 finalists for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award per an announcement from the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.

Carlson, a former Bingham High School star out of South Jordan, Utah, is the only Pac-12 player to record at least 1,600 points (1,612), 700 rebounds (735), 200 blocks (216) and 100 assists (153).

Carlson is averaging 16.7 points and 6.5 rebounds this season for the Utes.

Carlson and his Utes teammates return to action Saturday against Colorado at The Huntsman Center as the Pac-12 season continues for both squads.
