Region 12
NEPHI, Utah-Austin Park recorded 15 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds on 7-7 from the foul line as the Juab Wasps got past North Sanpete 62-55 in Region 12 boys basketball play Friday at The Pit. Braxton Hooper added 14 points and 5 rebounds on 7-8 from the field in victory for Juab. Ridge Hendry’s 21 points led the Hawks in defeat while Cole Cook added 13 points and 12 rebounds in the loss for North Sanpete. The Wasps improved to 11-7 and 4-6 in Region 12 play while North Sanpete fell to 7-11 and 3-7 in Region 12 contests. Juab returns to action Wednesday at Canyon View. North Sanpete resumes the season Wednesday at home against Delta.
CASTLE DALE, Utah-Zack Tuttle posted 17 points and the Emery Spartans routed Richfield 53-39 in Region 12 boys basketball play Friday. Malik Fautin had 9 points in defeat for the Wildcats.
CEDAR CITY, Utah-Hunter Stevens led the way with 18 points and the Manti Templars pounded Canyon View 55-35 Friday in Region 12 boys basketball play. Jace Farrow led the Falcons with 14 points in the loss.
Region 15
BLANDING, Utah-Anthony Done led the way with 18 points and the San Juan Broncos bested Gunnison Valley 63-55 in Region 15 boys basketball play Friday. Zach Overly led the Bulldogs in defeat with 12 points.
SALINA, Utah-Lane Berry stepped up with 26 points and the Grand Red Devils stonewalled North Sevier 66-55 in Region 15 boys basketball play Friday. Greyson Bennett led the Wolves in defeat with 20 points.
Region 18
BEAVER, Utah-Baylor Blackburn posted 17 points and 8 rebounds as the Beaver Beavers waxed Water Canyon 54-41 Friday in Region 18 boys basketball play. Aaron Barlow’s game-high 19 points led the Wildcats in the loss.
PAROWAN, Utah-Trey Castagno netted 20 points and the Kanab Cowboys overpowered Parowan 54-41 in Region 18 boys basketball play Friday. Hunter Bettridge led the Rams in the loss with 14 points.
MONROE, Utah-Brace Brindley led the way with 13 points and 6 rebounds as the South Sevier Rams decimated Millard 74-24 Friday in Region 18 boys basketball play. Preston Sanchez had 11 points for the Eagles in the loss.
Girls Basketball
Region 15
GUNNISON, Utah-Linsi Hansen and Rylee Bartholomew had 13 points apiece and the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs got past San Juan 43-37 in Region 15 girls basketball play Friday. Synessa Atcitty had 14 points for the Broncos in the loss.
SALINA, Utah-Cadence Kasprick netted 13 points and the Grand Red Devils downed North Sevier 46-36 Friday in Region 15 girls basketball play. Saige Jensen led the Wolves in defeat with 10 points.
