(Cedar City, UT) — Portions of southern Utah will be under a Winter Weather Advisory beginning today. The alert goes into effect at noon for Washington, Iron, Beaver, Garfield and Kane Counties, as well as the Southern Mountains. The National Weather Service also mentioned the towns of Brian Head and Alton in the advisory. Forecasters say five to ten inches of snow could fall by tomorrow night, when the alert is scheduled to end. Officials say to take extra caution if you have to travel in the winter weather.
