(Cedar City, UT) — President Biden has granted a major disaster declaration for five counties in southern and central Utah, hit by devastating flooding from runoff last spring. Spring runoff from record mountain snowpack left homes, businesses, and roadways damaged and destroyed. The declaration announced Monday opens up federal funding through the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s public assistance program for infrastructure repairs and other recovery efforts in Iron, Morgan, Sanpete, Utah, and Wasatch Counties.
