Monday morning, BYU men’s basketball rose to No. 17 in the polls after vanquishing Denver and Georgia State last week at the Marriott Center.
Last week, the Cougars checked in the polls at No. 18.
BYU leads the nation in assist to turnover ratio (2.17) (237 assists, 109 turnovers), scoring margin per game (+27; the Cougars outscore opponents 89.1-61.2 on average) and 3-point field goals per game (12.5, 137 net 3-point field goals on the season).
The Cougars are among six Big 12 programs to be ranked. Other Big 12 schools in the polls this week include Kansas (No.2), Houston (No.3), Oklahoma (No.7), Baylor (No.10) and Texas (No.19).
BYU returns to action Friday by hosting Bellarmine of Louisville, Ky. at the Marriott Center.
