Region 18
MONROE, Utah-Jaggar Redd led the way with 18 points and 8 rebounds and the South Sevier Rams surged past Kanab 68-59 in Region 18 boys basketball action Wednesday. Cash Mortensen’s game-high 25 points led the Cowboys in the loss.
PAROWAN, Utah-Hunter Bettridge stepped up with 13 points and the Parowan Rams edged Millard 51-47 Wednesday in Region 18 boys basketball play. Treyden Terry and Derk Memmott had 17 points apiece in the loss for the Eagles.
Non-Region
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Ridge Hendry recorded 26 points and 8 rebounds on 10-19 from the field and the North Sanpete Hawks got past Gunnison Valley 61-50 Wednesday in non-region boys basketball play. Cole Cook added 15 points and 8 rebounds on 6-7 from the field for the Hawks, who shot 50 percent (22-44) for the game. Tyson Tucker’s 15 points and 10 rebounds led the Bulldogs in the loss.
BEAVER, Utah-Baylor Blackburn’s 15 points and 5 rebounds led the way and the Beaver Beavers overpowered North Sevier 62-44 in non-region boys basketball play Wednesday. Efrain Bernardino led the Wolves in the loss with 14 points.
Girls Basketball
Region 20
MILFORD, Utah-Mallory Henrie posted 14 points and the Panguitch Bobcats pounded Milford 62-29 in Region 20 girls basketball play Wednesday. Tayleah Spaulding led the Tigers in defeat with 14 points.
Non-Region
TROPIC, Utah-Grace Leech netted 17 points and the Bryce Valley Mustangs got past Gunnison Valley 40-33 Wednesday in non-region girls basketball play. Maile Ha’o had 13 points for the Bulldogs in defeat.
