The Bureau of Land Management will begin offering non-commercial tree permits to harvest trees for the holidays. The trees available are pinyon pine, white fir and juniper. Each year, thousands of people find their Christmas trees on public lands. The harvest of these resources not only provides memorable recreation opportunities but maintains the natural health of forested lands. Permits can be purchased for $10 online at the forest products permit website forestproducts.blm.gov beginning Nov. 1 for the St. George Field Office, Nov. 24 for the Price Field Office and Nov. 9 for all other Field Offices. In-person sales are available during regular business hours, excluding federal holidays.
