Utah’s Growing Retiree Population Is Tired Of Social Security Tax

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah’s growing retiree population is urging lawmakers to eliminate income tax on Society Security benefits. An AARP survey says 66 percent of Utah residents support eliminating tax on Social Security benefits. State lawmakers say they’re eliminating the tax piece by piece for different individuals. The Utah Director of AARP explained the state is one of nearly a dozen states that continues to tax Social Security income.
