(Moab, UT) — More than a half-dozen campgrounds in Moab are closed as the Colorado River rises to a potentially dangerous level in the region. On Thursday, the Bureau of Land Management temporarily closed seven campgrounds until the water level in the river drops. Spring runoff is unusually heavy this year after record snowfalls built up the deepest snowpack ever in Utah’s mountains.
