Lake Powell Expected To Rise 50 Feet This Summer

(Lake Powell, UT) — Lake Powell is rising. The water level at the popular recreation area on the Utah-Arizona state line fell to historic lows last year but heavy snow throughout the winter pushed snowpack to historic highs. Antelope Point Marina, just outside Page, Arizona, anticipates lake levels rising 50 feet by summer. Lake Powell is still almost 200 feet below capacity and close to the point where the lake can no longer produce hydropower.
