GUNNISON, Utah-Jake Sorenson, Easton Newman and Parker Sanders each drove in two runs apiece and the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs downed North Sanpete 6-4 in non-region baseball play Saturday. Braxton Pickett posted seven strikeouts in five innings of work for the Bulldogs to earn the win on the mound. Andy Bailey homered in the loss for the Hawks.
NEPHI, Utah-Austin Park homered and the Juab Wasps downed South Sevier 9-8 Saturday in non-region baseball play. Kanyon Mattinson’s 5 strikeouts in 3 innings of work led the Wasps in victory on the mound. Keegon Heath drove in 5 run for the Rams in the loss.

Payson Tournament
PAYSON, Utah-Indigo North homered and the North Sanpete Hawks downed San Juan 6-2 at the Payson Tournament Saturday. Shea Rawlinson’s 5 strikeouts in 6 innings of work earned her the win in the circle for the Hawks. Synessa Atcitty drove in a run in defeat for the Broncos.
PAYSON, Utah-Brooke Fisher, Keslie Draney and Hallie Young each drove in two runs and the Class 6A Pleasant Grove Vikings routed North Sanpete 10-1 Saturday at the Payson Tournament. Kady Cook drove in a run in the loss for the Hawks.
PAYSON, Utah-Hailey Mangum homered and Kenli Miller each homered as the Class 5A Payson Lions downed North Sanpete 6-4 at the Payson Tournament Saturday. Peyton Stahel’s three strikeouts in 4.2 innings of work earned her the win in the circle for the Lions. Kady Cook drove in two runs for the Hawks in defeat.
PAYSON, Utah-The Class 5A Spanish Fork Dons pounded North Sanpete 14-3 Saturday at the Payson Tournament.
