(Salt Lake City, UT) — Many Utahns support the design of the new state flag, but many don’t know whether they like it or not. A new Deseret News-Hinckley Institute of Politics poll shows that 48-percent of those asked like the new flag. Another 35-percent don’t want the new design, with 21-percent saying they are strongly opposed. Seventeen-percent have no opinion or don’t know if they like or dislike it. At least one group of Utahns who don’t want the new flag is gathering signatures for a referendum that could appear on the statewide ballot this fall.
