(Salt Lake City, UT) — This winter is one of the wettest on record in Utah. Data released Wednesday shows the meteorological winter of 2022-23 is the ninth wettest since 1895. The state collected, on average, five-point-eight inches of moisture in December, January, and February. That’s more than double the total in the 2021-22 meteorological winter and more than double the 20th century average. The National Weather Service is forecasting rain on Friday and a mix of rain and snow Saturday and Sunday.
