(Zion Nat’l Park, UT) — Climbers are being told to stay away from some cliffs at Zion National Park because of an endangered species. Peregrine falcons are nesting in certain areas of the park, including Cable Mountain, the Great White Throne, Tunnel Wall and Mount Spry. The bird’s mating season takes place between March and May, and they usually leave during the months of June and July. Park officials say to check their website for updates on when the climbing areas will be reopened.
