EPHRAIM, Utah-Jaxon Pollard posted 17 points on 6-6 from the field and 4-4 from range as the No. 2 Salt Lake Bruins decimated No. 13 Snow 92-67 at the Horne Activity Center Wednesday in Scenic West men’s basketball play.
The Bruins shot 55 percent (29-47) from the field and 52 percent (14-27) behind the arc to improve to 9-0 (1-0 in SWAC play) on the season. Clayton Southwick’s 13 points on 4-7 (4-6 from range) from the field led the Badgers in the loss as they fell to 10-2 and 2-1 in SWAC play.
Snow returns to action Saturday by visiting Community Christian at Redlands, Calif. as the SWAC season ensues.
Women’s Basketball
SWAC
EPHRAIM, Utah-Aminata Diakite’s 26 points on 11-13 and 3-3 from range led the way and the No. 10 Salt Lake Bruins routed Snow 86-66 in Scenic West women’s basketball play Wednesday at the Horne Activity Center.
The proficient Bruins shot 55 percent (34-62) from the field and 53 percent (9-17) from range for the game in improving to 9-0 and 1-0 in SWAC play.
Samiana Suguturaga netted 13 points on 4-6 from the field in defeat for the Badgers. Snow fell to 5-7 and 2-1 in SWAC play in the loss.
The Badgers return to action Saturday at Redlands, Calif. to face Community Christian as the SWAC season continues.
