Non-Region

PRICE, Utah-Mason Vasquez made two free throws in the closing seconds as the Carbon Dinos edged Juab 60-59 in non-region boys basketball action Wednesday at Carbon High School. Michael Stevenson-Atienzo’s 19 points and 6 rebounds on 8-14 from the field led the Dinos in victory as they improved to 4-0 on the season, having defeated three Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network teams to commence the season: Delta, North Sanpete and Juab.

Austin Park (19 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, 5-8 shooting) led the Wasps in defeat as they fell to 0-2.

Both squads will compete at the Central Utah Boys Preview Friday and Saturday at the Sevier Valley Center. Friday, the Dinos draw Grantsville while the Wasps meet fellow Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network school North Sevier.

MILFORD, Utah-Trey Rose netted 30 points and the Milford Tigers routed Freedom Prep 67-34 in non-region boys basketball action Wednesday. Jaxon Koford led the Eagles in the loss with 8 points.

DELTA, Utah-Cai Henderson led the way with 14 points and 5 rebounds and the Delta Rabbits downed Beaver 39-29 Wednesday in non-region boys basketball play at the Palladium. Trayson Yardley’s 13 points led the Beavers in the loss.

MANTI, Utah-Reggie Frischknecht posted 18 points and the Manti Templars overpowered South Sevier 72-58 in non-region boys basketball play Wednesday. Emilio Miramontes netted 20 points and 5 rebounds in defeat for the Rams.

JUNCTION, Utah-Brooks Dalton netted 21 points and the Piute Thunderbirds dismantled Gunnison Valley 72-57 Wednesday in non-region boys basketball play. Jet Hill led the Bulldogs in defeat with 15 points.

Girls Basketball

Region 20

ORDERVILLE, Utah-Mallory Henrie’s 19 points led the way and the Panguitch Bobcats bested Valley 49-43 in Region 20 girls basketball play Wednesday. Maddie Cox netted 14 points in the loss for the Buffaloes.

Non-Region

FREDONIA, Ariz.-The Fredonia (Ariz.) Lynx downed the Escalante Moquis 41-35 Wednesday in non-region girls basketball play.
