(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is expanding an annual campaign that creates millions of dollars in donations to charitable causes. The Church plans to double the number of cities where Giving Machines will be located during the holiday season. Twenty cities will get one of the machines this year, up from ten last year. Mobile versions of the machine will also travel to eight additional cities. The program raised nearly six-million dollars for 45 charities last year. This year’s program will benefit more than 125 different programs and nonprofits.
