(Salt Lake City, UT) — Two events honoring a former University of Utah student who was killed on campus are set for this weekend. The Lauren McCluskey Memorial Awareness Walk will be held Friday afternoon beginning at one o’clock. The first-annual Utah Race for Campus Safety 5K will be held Saturday morning. Both events honor McCluskey, who died after being shot by her ex-boyfriend in 2018. All money raised will go to the Lauren McCluskey Foundation.
