ELDORADO, Kan.-Rahsul Faison ran in the game-winning 2-point conversion attempt in overtime and the No. 5 Snow Badgers outlasted No. 8 Butler 50-49 in overtime Saturday at Eldorado, Kan. in non-conference junior college football play.
The Badgers built a 28-0 lead and withstood several Grizzlies surges to pull out the victory.
Butler took a 49-42 lead on their possession in overtime as Jake Wolff (25-46, 321 yards, 4 TD’s/2 INT’s) threw a scoring pass to Qua’Vez Humphreys (8 rec, 90 yards, 2 TD’s).
Snow responded with a touchdown pass from Daisean Cash (18-29, 292 yards, 3 TD’s/INT) to Dallin Bentley (2 rec, 37 yards, 2 TD’s) setting the stage for Faison’s heroics.
The Badgers are 2-1 on the season and return to action Saturday by hosting Gila River Academy at 7:00 pm at Stoddard Field at Terry Foote Stadium.
