RICHFIELD, Utah-Late Monday evening, Richfield star senior girls golfer Gwen Stubbs was named as one of nine Deseret News High School star athletes of the week.
Stubbs shot a 159 at last week’s 3A state girls golf tournament to win the individual state title.
Stubbs’ contributions were instrumental in the Wildcats capturing the 3A state title.
This was Richfield’s sixth all-time state title in girls golf and their second in a row.
The Wildcats have earned state championships in girls golf in 2012, 2013, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022.
