(New Haven, CT) – Republican Senator Mike Lee and Attorney General Sean Reyes are demanding that Yale Law School punish students who disrupted an event featuring a well-known conservative lawyer. Kristen Waggoner for the Alliance Defending Freedom is best known as the lawyer who defended a Colorado baker who refused to make a wedding cake for a gay wedding. More than one-hundred students at Yale protested her appearance at an event organized by the Federalist Society. Lee and Reyes signed an open letter calling for the students to be disciplined to “send a clear message” about the importance of civil discourse.
