St. George Classic
ST. GEORGE, Utah-Emma Olson, Indie Jones and Kamryn Chandler had 2 RBI apiece and the South Summit Wildcats smacked Beaver 11-1 Thursday at the St. George Classic. Jones also earned the win in the circle for the Wildcats.
2A Central
JUNCTION, Utah-Caitlin Nielson was 3-4 with two RBI and a double as the South Sevier Rams beat Piute 17-5 Thursday in 2A Central Region softball action. Mya Deaton and Kelsie Strate also drove in two runs a piece for the Rams, while Hayzen Taylor earned the win inside the circle. Hannah Wittwer homered and drove in three runs in the loss for the Thunderbirds.
SALINA, Utah-Kamryn Pierce homered and drove in seven runs for the North Sevier Wolves as they doubled up North Summit 20-10 in 2A Central Region softball action. Sydney Henrie drove in three runs and Laynee Nielsen tripled and drove in two runs for the Wolves, while Chloe Malmgren earned the win in the circle for North Sevier. The Wolves scored 15 runs in the fourth inning to take control of the game.
2A South
PANGUITCH, Utah-Lillie Reid drove in three runs and the Millard Eagles pulverized Panguitch 22-2 Thursday in 2A South softball action. Aubree Lunt and Shaylee Burraston drove in a pair of runs apiece as well for the Eagles in victory. Hailey Flynn posted three strikeouts in three innings of work for Millard.
Non-Region
RICHFIELD, Utah-Emjay Rollins and Echo Pallesen each drove in three runs as the Richfield Wildcats outgunned Altamont 25-15 in non-region softball play Thursday. Skye McKinlay had a pair of strikeouts in victory for the Wildcats.
CEDAR CITY, Utah-Kathrine Crouch drove in three runs and the Manti Templars ran away from Canyon View 20-7 Thursday in non-region softball action. Tiffany Hermansen earned the win in the circle and hit two doubles in the victory. Rylee Jarvis and Haylee Daniels also each doubled twice in the win.
Boys Soccer
Region 12
RICHFIELD, Utah-Brock Marsh and Josh Gonzalez had a goal apiece and the Canyon View Falcons blanked Richfield 2-0 Thursday in Region 12 boys soccer play. Dawson Talbot recorded the shutout for the Falcons.
2A South
PAROWAN, Utah-Kelly Mangum scored the sole goal of the game and the Parowan Rams blanked Beaver 1-0 in 2-A South boys soccer play Thursday. Cooper Miller earned the shutout for the Rams.
GUNNISON, Utah-Jon Willden posted a hat trick and the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs beat South Sevier 4-1 in 2A South Region boys soccer action. Bryson Sorensen also scored in the win for Gunnison Valley.
SALINA, Utah-The Millard Eagles doubled up North Sevier 4-2 Thursday in 2A South Region boys soccer action.
