Drought Conditions Ease Thanks To Recent Snowfall

(Salt Lake City, UT) – A snowy December is helping ease drought conditions throughout Utah. The latest report from the National Weather Service shows 34-percent of the state is now under extreme drought conditions. Much of the state is still under extreme or severe conditions. Utah’s snowpack is 128-percent of normal for the state. The Division of Water Resources says Utah needs close to 16 inches more of snowpack to reach a typical peak by the start of April.
