Utah Snowpack Moves To Above Average Following Storms

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah’s snowpack is starting to improve following a series of winter storms around the state. The National Weather Service says the snowpack is now about 130-percent above normal statewide. That’s a big improvement from early last month, when the snowpack was at its lowest point in 40 years. The weather service says Utah needs even more snow to overcome the ongoing drought, though soil moisture is higher heading into 2022 than it was a year ago.
