(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Spencer Cox says the state is by no means clear of COVID-19 and people still need to protect themselves. In an interview with KSL-TV, Cox says they are watching the omicron variant “very closely,” but does not yet see the need to enact more restrictions. He also says to healthcare workers who are feeling burned out “thank you” for their hard work since March 2020. Cox believes the state and nation are in a better place dealing with COVID-19 than a year ago.
