Sen. Romney Calls For Bipartisan Approach To Keep Child Tax Credit

(Washington, DC) – Republican Senator Mitt Romney is pushing Congress to pass a bipartisan bill to keep the Child Tax Credit in place. On Twitter, Senator Romney said that Republicans and Democrats need to work on a long-term policy to reduce child poverty now that the Build Back Better plan from President Biden has stalled. Romney also pointed to his Family Security Act that he introduced in February as a possible solution. That bill would provide 350-dollar monthly payments for each child under six years old, and 250 dollars for kids between ages six and 17.
