(Salt Lake City, UT) — Salt Lake City is joining the list of cities trying to host the next Republican National Convention. KUTV reports that a bid to host the convention was submitted to the Republican National Committee last week. Members of the state GOP and Visit Salt Lake traveled to Washington, D.C. in October to talk with the committee about submitting a bid for the 2024 convention. Attempts to bring the convention to Salt Lake City in 2012 and 2016 were unsuccessful.
