CEDAR CITY, Utah-The No. 16 Canyon View Falcons downed No. 17 Providence Hall 3-0 Saturday in the first round of the 3-A state playoffs. The Falcons bested the Patriots 25-11, 25-12, 25-23.
Canyon View next draws top-seeded Emery Wednesday at 9:00 am in the second round of the state playoffs at Utah Valley University.
SALT LAKE CITY-The No. 12 Judge Memorial Bulldogs stymied No. 21 seed ALA 3-0 in the first round of the 3-A state playoffs Saturday. The Bulldogs waxed the Eagles 25-16, 25-11, 25-19. Judge next faces No. 5 seed South Summit in the second round of the state playoffs at Utah Valley University Wednesday at 9:00 am.
MOAB, Utah-The No. 15 seed Grand Red Devils humbled No. 18 Summit Academy 3-0 Saturday in the first round of the 3-A state playoffs. The Red Devils waxed the Bears 25-10, 25-13, 25-12. Grand next faces No. 2 seed Morgan Wednesday at 10:30 am at Utah Valley University in the second round of the state playoffs.
RICHFIELD, Utah-The No. 14 seed Richfield Wildcats hammered No. 19 Grantsville 3-1 in the first roud of the 3-A state playoffs Saturday. The Wildcats prevailed 25-27, 25-18, 25-23, 25-15.
Richfield next faces No. 3 seed Carbon Saturday in the second round of the 3-A state playoffs at 10:30 am at Utah Valley University Wednesday.
2-A State Playoffs 1st Round
DRAPER, Utah-The No. 16 Draper APA Eagles downed No. 17 Rockwell 3-1 Saturday in the first round of the 2-A state playoffs. The Eagles humbled the Marshals 23-25, 25-20, 26-24, 25-20. Draper APA next faces No. 1 seed Gunnison Valley Friday at 9:00 am in the second round of the 2-A state playoffs at Utah Valley University.

The Winged Lions downed the Thunderbirds 25-12, 25-9, 25-9. Rowland Hall next draws No. 8 American Heritage Friday at 9:00 am at Utah Valley University in the second round of the 2-A state playoffs.
BEAVER, Utah-The No. 12 Beaver Beavers stonewalled No. 21 Wasatch Academy 3-0 Saturday in the first round of the 2-A state playoffs. The Beavers pulverized the Wildcats 25-7, 25-3, 25-7. Parowan next draws No. 3 seed St. Joseph Friday at 10:30 am at Utah Valley University in the second round of the 2-A state playoffs.
MONROE, Utah-The No. 11 South Sevier Rams drilled No. 22 APA West Valley 3-0 in the first round of the 2-A state playoffs Saturday. The Rams humbled the Eagles 25-10, 25-10, 25-14. No. 11 South Sevier next draws No. 6 Enterprise Friday at 10:03 am in the second round of the 2-A state playoffs at Utah Valley University.

MANILA, Utah-The No. 16 Manila Mustangs downed No. 17 Bryce Valley 3-1 Saturday in the first round of the 1-A state playoffs. The Manila Mustangs bested the Bryce Valley Mustangs 25-27, 25-19, 25-19, 25-18. Manila next faces No. 1 Intermountain Christian Friday at 4:00 pm in the second round of the 1-A state playoffs at Utah Valley University.
ORDERVILLE, Utah-The No. 13 Valley Buffaloes waxed No. 20 Mount Vernon in the first round of the 1-A state playoffs Saturday. The Buffaloes humbled the Patriots 25-8, 25-7, 25-11. No. 13 Valley next draws No. 4 Rich Friday at 4:00 pm at Utah Valley University Saturday in the second round of the 1-A state playoffs.
ALTAMONT, Utah-The No. 12 Altamont Longhorns downed No. 21 Pinnacle 3-0 in the first round of the 1-A state volleyball playoffs Saturday. The Longhorns bested the Panthers 25-6, 25-8, 25-9. Altamont next faces No. 5 Escalante Friday at 4:00 pm in the second round of the 1-A state playoffs at Utah Valley University.
EUREKA, Utah-The No. 18 Whitehorse Raiders humbled No. 15 Pinnacle 3-1 Saturday in the first round of the 1-A state volleyball playoffs. The Raiders downed the Miners 25-22, 14-25, 25-23, 25-22.
BICKNELL, Utah-The No. 14 Wayne Badgers gashed No. 19 Water Canyon 3-0 in the first round of the 1-A state volleyball playoffs Saturday. The Badgers bested the Wildcats 25-17, 25-18, 25-17. Wayne next faces No. 3 seed Piute Friday at 5:30 pm at Utah Valley University in the second round of the state playoffs.
Girls Soccer
3-A State Championship Game
SANDY, Utah-Neveah Peregrina scored and the Ogden Tigers blanked Morgan 1-0 to earn the 3-A state girls soccer title Saturday at Rio Tinto Stadium. Emily Blackford recorded the shutout for Ogden. This was the Tigers’ 4th all-time state title. Ogden has won state girls soccer titles in 2001, 2011, 2019 and 2021.
2-A State Championship Game
SANDY, Utah-Seven Castain posted four goals and the Waterford Ravens outlasted Rowland Hall-St. Mark’s 4-3 Saturday in the 2-A state championship game at Rio Tinto Stadium. Camryn Kennedy, Paige Connery and Mary Bocock each scored in the loss for the Winged Lions. This was the Ravens’ 7th all-time state title. Waterford also achieved state titles in 2003, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2016 and 2018.
