(Cedar City, UT) — One person is dead and four others are critically injured after an SUV collided with a heavy construction vehicle near Cedar City. Police say yesterday around 10 a.m. the SUV carrying five people was attempting to turn left onto State Route 56 when it was allegedly struck by the large concrete mixer truck. Police added that the woman driving the SUV succumbed to her injuries at the scene and the four other passengers, which included two adult women and two juvenile boys, were taken to the hospital in critical condition. The driver of the construction vehicle was reportedly uninjured. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
