OREM, Utah-Monday, Utah Valley University men’s basketball head coach Mark Madsen received a 5-year extension, per reports.

Madsen is 22-30 (.423) as he enters his third season at the helm of the Wolverines’ program.

Under Madsen’s guidance, in 2020-21,  the Wolverines posted 16.8 assists per game. This ranked them No. 11 nationally.

Four Wolverines earned all-WAC honors last season, including Fardaws Aimaq. The redshirt sophomore center earned WAC player of the year honors and the defensive player of the season award for the conference.
