RICHFIELD, Utah-The Richfield Wildcats won a five set thriller over Canyon View 3-2 Thursday in Region 12 volleyball action. The Wildcats won 25-22, 23-25, 22-25, 25-13, 15-8.
Region 14
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-The Union Cougars waxed North Sanpete 3-0 in Region 14 volleyball play Thursday. The Cougars bested the Hawks 25-19, 25-23, 25-19 to prevail in straight sets.
MANTI, Utah-Adrienne Shelley had 11 kills and 14 digs as the Manti Templars swept Delta 3-0 Thursday in Region 14 volleyball action. The Templars prevailed 25-18, 25-20, 25-18. Cali Alder had 27 assists in the win.
Region 16
GUNNISON, Utah-The Gunnison Valley Bulldogs humbled Millard 3-0 in Region 16 volleyball play Thursday. The Bulldogs downed the Eagles 27-25, 25-23, 25-16 in straight sets.
Non-Region
PANGUITCH, Utah-The Panguitch Bobcats outlasted the Beaver Beavers 3-2 Thursday in non-region volleyball action. The Bobcats downed the Beavers 25-14, 24-26, 25-23, 26-28, 16-14. Tabetha Henrie’s 20 kills led the Bobcats in the victory.
WENDOVER, Utah-The Escalante Moquis pounded Wendover 3-0 in non-region volleyball play Thursday. The Moquis prevailed 25-7, 25-10, 25-17 over the Wildcats. Leslie Luna’s four kills led the Wildcats in the loss.
JUNCTION, Utah-The Piute Thunderbirds tripped up North Sevier 3-1 Thursday in non-region volleyball play. The T-Birds waxed the Wolves 25-19, 25-17, 17-25, 25-20 to get the victory.
KANAB, Utah-The Kanab Lady Cowboys dismantled Page (Ariz.) 3-0 in non-region volleyball play Thursday. The Lady Cowboys dismantled the Sand Devils 25-20, 25-20, 25-19.
Girls Soccer
Region 12
CEDAR CITY, Utah-Canyon View scored a goal in each half to double up Richfield 2-1 Thursday in Region 12 girls soccer action.
Region 14
DELTA, Utah-Avree Miller and Addison Hyatt each scored and the Juab Wasps doubled up Delta 2-1 in Region 14 girls soccer play Thursday. Henci Stephenson scored in the loss for the Rabbits.
MANTI, Utah-Breanne Wayman, Kaylee Parry and Morgan Chidester each found the net and the Manti Templars gashed Union 3-0 Thursday in Region 14 girls soccer play. Brynlee Wathen earned the shutout for Manti.
2-A South
MONROE, Utah-Karlee Wood amassed a hat trick and the Parowan Rams pounded South Sevier 6-0 in 2-A South girls soccer play Thursday in the battle of the Rams.
BLANDING, Utah-The Millard Eagles dominated San Juan 9-0 Thursday in 2A South Region girls soccer action.
Girls Tennis
FILLMORE, Utah-The South Sevier Rams girls tennis team won a region girls tennis match over Millard 4-1. The Rams won in 1st singles with Kaizlee Bringhurst, 2nd singles with Katelyn Sorenson, 1st doubles with Taysia Thompson and Nevaeh Kelley and in 2nd doubles with Mya Deaton and Laken Larsen.
