(Salt Lake City, UT) – A Florida man is reportedly admitting to killing a Salt Lake City teenager nearly 40 years ago. Patrick Michael McCabe spoke to police in Florida on Wednesday and apparently admitted his role in the 1977 death of Sharon Schollmeyer. Salt Lake City police matched DNA taken from the crime scene to McCabe’s DNA and issued a warrant for his arrest on charges of murder, rape and aggravated burglary. McCabe managed the apartment building where Schollmeyer was found dead by her mother inside her bathtub.Â
