SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah legislators enter their final day of the legislative session trying to finalize dozens of bills.
That includes one that would lower the minimum age to obtain a concealed-carry permit to 18, down from 21 years old.
Another still pending would require doctors to tell women that a medication-induced abortion could be halted halfway through. Doctors’ groups say there is no data to back up that claim.
Lawmakers have approved more than 400 bills, about half of the proposals that were introduced. The 45-day session is scheduled to wrap up Thursday at midnight.
